Gary Blomberg:   Music Arrangement / Producer

Gary Blomberg (Gary B) started singing in the early 60's in his hometown of Milford Ct. He sang in coffee shops, school assemblies and with a local band Station VI, where he met his future wife Ginger while doing a gig in her neighborhood. (He didn't plan it that way, he just thought she was hot...)

Gary's interests turned eventually turned to theatre, where he has become an award winning actor and director. He has appeared on TV , dinner theatre, cabaret, commercials and hosted his own call in radio show in Stamford Ct. Gary's versatility on stage has allowed him to perform a wide range of featured roles such as Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Fagin in Oliver, to Harold Hill in The Music Man.

Gary has played the murderer Harry Roat in Wait until Dark and many other leading roles. His recent portrayal of Autolycus in Shakespeare's The Winters Tale was featured in a Shakespeare festival in Stratford Ct. Gary Directed the Charlotte Players production of Guys and Dolls that was acclaimed in the Charlotte Sun as "A work of art".

A chance encounter with a Doo-Wop group while he and Ginger were out to dinner celebrating their 40th anniversary rekindled Gary's love for music..... The way it used to be.

Gary is honored and proud to have been asked to be a member of the Goldtones, and looks forward to keeping the memories alive.

MIKE NELSON     Vocal coach / Engineer

Mike grew up in the Philippines where at the age of five he began harmonizing on church stages with his family. As a young man in Manila he joined The Madrigals ‘n Guys developing a passion for tight harmonies and live performance. After cutting a record, they toured the Philippines, Europe, and across the USA, frequently entertaining our troops at military bases.

While in college, Mike received formal voice training as a solo performer. With The Abundant Life Singers, he recorded several albums and toured in Australia and across the USA. Mike performed as a solo artist in Michigan, New York, and Pennsylvania promoting various non-profit organizations. He transitioned to singing oldies as a founding member of the vocal band, Classic Blend. The group performed and recorded standards, jazz, doo wop, Motown tunes, and covered the tight harmonies of Manhattan Transfer.

Mike discovered THE GOLDTONES in the fall of 2015 and began following their performances. After responding to an audition posting, he was invited to fill in for one of the members during an illness. They were a good fit, and he was honored to be invited to join the group in 2016.

Mike resides in North Port with his wife, Sally. He likes to say he got his “instrument” for free from his Heavenly Father and loves to share the gift of song with anyone who enjoys great music.
